Strood teenager demands apology over 'green and mouldy' chips

A teenager from Strood says he will never eat in KFC again after being served "green and mouldy" chips.

The 16-year-old says the chips given to him in the Chatham High Street restaurant on Friday night were "the most off-putting thing I've ever been given" - and is now demanding an apology from the fast food giant.

He had been in the restaurant with two friends, and had got half way through his box of chips when he had to stop eating.

"The chips were green and mouldy and the skin was still on," he said. "The whole chip was green - it's the most off-putting thing I've ever been given.

"I got halfway through the chips but as soon as I pulled them out it was disgusting - I put them in the bin."

And he added: "I can't believe someone would have seen them and thought it's ok to serve them.

"I'm a big fan of KFC but I don't think I'll be going back.

"I want someone to respond and say 'we're sorry it shouldn't have happened'."

KFC has been approached for a comment.
