Southern Water works see three-way traffic lights put up on the A228 Frindsbury Road in Strood

Three-way traffic lights have been installed on a busy route due to a leaky water pipe.

The Southern Water roadworks on the A228 Frindsbury Road, in Strood, just up from the Tesco petrol station, are due to be in place until next week.

A spokesman said: "We’re sorry for the inconvenience traffic controls are causing.

"We’re repairing a leaky water pipe and our team is working as quickly as is safe."

The work, which started on Monday, is due to finish on Tuesday, March 28.
