Woman found with stab wounds in Luton Road, Chatham

Two men have been arrested after a woman was stabbed.

Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service to an address in Luton Road, Chatham at around 4.10pm yesterday.

The police were called regarding a reported assault at a private address and the victim was flown to a London hospital in a serious condition.

A Luton Road resident said: “By the time I got here in the evening there was police and ambulance, about three police cars.

"I hope she is alright, they are a nice family.

"It’s a shame ”

A man from Tops Pizza added: "I was in here and I saw about six or seven police and ambulance”

Kent Police press officer Martin Very said: "Officers attended the scene where a woman was treated for injuries consistent with a stab wound. She has been taken to a London hospital by air ambulance for further medical attention."

As of Wednesday, April 10, three men had been arrested on suspicion of assault and and were all released without charge.

Kent Police confirmed enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
