Two Chatham men charged with attempted murder in Rochester

Two men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder.

The allegations follow a serious assault on a man in his 40s in Rochester earlier this year.

The victim suffered a cut to his neck in an incident that took place in Wickham Street at around 4.30pm on Thursday, April 27.

Carl Williamson, of St Michaels Close, Chatham, and Barry Clark, of Chelmar Road, Chatham, were arrested on June 7.

Williamson, 36, was also charged with possession of a bladed weapon, and Clark, 39, with criminal damage.

Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, June 9, where they were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
