Connor Ogilvie is staying with Gillingham for the remainder of the season, the club have confirmed.
Ogilvie, 21, has played 32 games for the Gills after joining on loan from Tottenham.
He has played the majority of games at left-back but has recently taken a back-seat following the return from injury of Bradley Garmston.
Boss Steve Lovell said: “I’m really pleased Connor has agreed to stay until the end of the season.
“The chance of retaining him was always there but it’s nice to have it confirmed. He has worked extremely hard during his time here and it will ensure competition for places in defence remains strong.”
Ogilvie can play centre-back too, however, and came off the bench at the weekend to replace injured Gabriel Zakuani.
It’s the first time Ogilvie has played League 1 level, having spent the previous two seasons playing for League 2 Stevenage.
