Gillingham have signed midfielder Regan Charles-Cook on a two-year deal from Charlton.
He's the first new face at Priestfield this summer as boss Steve Lovell sets about reshaping his squad.
The 21-year-old, who started his career at Arsenal, made three appearances for the Addicks this season, scoring in their League Cup win at Exeter in August.
The attack-minded midfield player went on to have two loan spells at Woking as the Cards were relegated from the National League, scoring five goals in 26 games.
The previous season he enjoyed a loan spell with Solihull Moors, playing 13 games and scoring four times.
He said: “I felt it was time to move on having been with Charlton for a while, they’ve been good to me and it’s been my home.
“I’ve worked with Steve before, he knows what I’m about and I know what he’s like as a coach so it’s a comfortable move for me and he knows how to get the best out of me."
Manager Steve Lovell added: “I have known Regan since a very young age and know what he is capable of. He is an incredibly determined man, a
positive individual and I think his natural ability will be a real asset for us next season.”
