The kmfm charity football match will definitely go ahead as planned despite a row breaking out at the top level of Ashford Town Football Club.

The game expects crowds of 3,000 and will feature players from Sky’s Soccer AM, which is being filmed at the home of Ashford Town, Homelands in Kingsnorth. It will take place on Sunday, April 26.

Chairman of the football club, Don Crosbie, has issued a statement on the club’s website detailing a financial row with co-owner Tony Betteridge.

kmfm presenter John “Webbo” Webster said: “I’ve been re-assured by Don Crosbie that the charity football match will definitely go ahead - and tickets are selling fast.”

Tickets are available from Homleands on matchdays and from the kmfm and Kentish Express reception in North Street. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £3 for children.
