A CANCER Research Race for Life charity event, due to take place at Quex Park, Birchington, last Sunday was postponed due to heavy rain and flooding of the course.

Organisers have rescheduled the fund-raiser for the 2,000 runners for Saturday, July 14, with a 10am start.

If this date does not suit entrants, telephone the Race for Life hotline on 08705 134314 for an alternative event.

Last year’s Isle of Thanet event raised around £135,000.
