Feeding the thousands

THE caterers for the Open tournament have revealed that fish and chips is the most popular snack for spectators.

Sodexho Prestige has been providing fans with 14,000 portions during the competition.

Also on the menu were 10,000 further portions of chips, 5,000 pork pies, 25,000 rounds of sandwiches, 100,000 pints of beer, 2,500 bottles of champagne and 100,000 teas & coffees.
