Police appeal after teen hit by car in Darford Road, Sevenoaks

A 17-year-old boy is in a serious condition after being hit by a car last night.

Emergency services - including the air ambulance - were called to the incident, in Sevenoaks, at around 7.20pm.

It's reported that a grey Vauxhall Corsa hit the pedestrian near the War Memorial in Dartford Road - leaving the teenager with serious head and leg injuries.

A 23-year-old man from Tunbridge Wells has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit.

He has been bailed, pending further investigation, until March 13.

The air ambulance escorted the patient to Kings College Hospital, London.

It's the second serious collision reported in Sevenoaks last night, as a man in his 70s is also fighting for his life after being struck by a car in a supermarket car park.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision.
