Air ambulance called to incident at Tesco, Sheerness

Staff performed CPR on a customer who collapsed in the restaurant area of Tesco, Sheerness.

The man, who is in his 50s, was taken ill with a suspected heart attack this morning while visiting the Bridge Road supermarket.

Three ambulances were joined by police and the air ambulance after they were called at 11.30am.

The helicopter landed in nearby Beachfields Park from where a doctor walked to the scene.

The medics were seen treating the patient at the back of the store where Tesco vans are parked.

He was then transported around to Beachfields and flown away to King's College Hospital for further treatment, where he is currently in a serious condition.
