A man accused of a stabbing in Sheerness High Street has been cleared of wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon after the prosecution dropped the case.

No evidence was offered against Lithuanian national Gediminas Medisauakas today and Judge Philip Statman entered not guilty verdicts. No explanation was given.

Mr Medisauakas, 26, was alleged to have attacked Raimundas Baliukyas, also from Lithuania.
