Police are hunting the driver of a car after it was found abandoned outside disused public toilets.

The vehicle was discovered near the White House Indian restaurant in The Broadway, Minster, Sheppey, earlier this morning.

The force of the collision took out a length of fencing before the car came to rest facing the wrong way outside the former public conveniences near the junction with The Leas and Coast Road.

Police said they were called at 8.43am to a report of a car in a ditch.

A spokesman said: "The car was reported abandoned. Enquiries to locate those involved are ongoing."
