ROGER TITMARSH: His family have thanked those who tried to help him

THE driver of a minibus who died at the wheel of his vehicle while approaching the Kingsferry Bridge between Sheppey and Sittingbourne last Tuesday has been identified.

He was 50-year-old Roger Titmarsh, of Delamark Road, Sheerness, who suffered a heart attack.

The minibus he was driving was in collision with a red Rover 400 car and then careered into a barrier.

It is thought Mr Titmarsh was travelling to Oaks School, Sittingbourne, to collect youngsters from Sheppey.

Members of his Mr Titmarsh's family expressed their thanks to those who tried to revive him at the scene, as well as to the police and ambulance service for their assistance.
