Firefighters tackled flames at two blazes in Sheerness and Ramsgate

Kent Fire and Rescue attended two fires across the county last night.

In Sheerness - a woman is being treated for the effects of smoke inhalation in hospital following a house fire that started in a bedroom at the property in Alexandra Road.

Meanwhile in Ramsgate a fire damaged a three story block of flats in Harbour Street.

The fire started around 11.30 and all occupants managed to escape.
