NINETY-ONE year old Margaret Hadlow’s faith in human nature has been restored after she lost her purse and it was handed in without a thing missing.

Mrs Hadlow, of Hilda Road, Halfway, Sheppey, had gone shopping at the Aldi store in Millennium Way, Sheerness, but found her purse missing when she reached the till.

She said: “A kind gent paid for my bits and pieces and gave me a lift home and I paid him back there.

"When I had recovered, I checked at the shops I had been in and the cashier at Aldi said it had been handed in by another kind gent after I had left.

"It restores your faith in human nature and I would like to publicly thank the man who gave me a lift home and the other man who handed it in. I feel uplifted.”
