Hopwood’s Choice sweet shop ,Sheerness High Street, raises RNLI funds

A Valentine-themed tombola and raffle raised £100 for the RNLI.

It was run by Hopwood’s Choice sweet shop in Sheerness High Street.

The store’s owners set up at the clocktower on Saturday with a Valentine’s cake and fluffy bears among prizes on offer.

Kevin Hopwood, who runs the shop with partner Jackie Cummings, said: “It was a really good day. There wasn’t a lot of people about but we made a good amount.

“RNLI is a local service which doesn’t get a lot of publicity so we wanted to do something to help.”

Tombola tickets will continue to be available at the shop.
