Car confiscated after learner driver swears at unmarked police car in Swale

A learner driver had their car confiscated after making offensive hand gestures at an unmarked police car.

Kent Police's Swale team posted on Twitter yesterday, after stopping the driver and finding they had only a provisional licence.

The team explained the car was seized and the driver had to make their way home on foot.

On the same day the Kent Police Roads team reported having stopped a lorry that was spilling its load in Sittingbourne.

The lorry was later weighed and found to be carrying 1.5 tonnes over its legal limit.

Police said the vehicle was prohibited and the driver reported.

Kent Police has been approached for further information.
