Fingers crossed TV will jog memories

By Hayley Robinson

It is exactly a year today since Matthew Green went missing.

The self employed roofer was last seen at the family home in Rock Road, Sittingbourne, at 8pm when he told his parents Pauline and Jim that he was going to stay with a friend in Mile End for the weekend.

When he didn’t return home, his disappearance was reported to the police. His bank account has not been touched and his passport has not been used.

Mr and Mrs Green are hoping a TV programme entitled Missing 2011, which is due to air on BBC1 at 9.15am every day from May 9 to 13, will reunite them with their son who was 26 at the time he went missing.

Mrs Green, 57, said: "We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the programme will jog someone’s memory and we’ll get some news on where he is."

Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604167 or Missing People on 0500 700700.
