Police step up hunt for serial sex attacker

POLICE are still trying to track down a sex offender who has preyed on women in Sittingbourne. Officers have spent hours in the areas of town where the teenager has struck.

They have timed their presence with the times of the offences, in the hope of tracking him down. The serial sex attacker, thought to be aged between 14 and 16, has attacked four women. Each time, he has been on a bicycle.

The latest attacks were on Wednesday, November 7, when a 33-year-old woman was indecently assaulted in an alleyway leading to Johnson Road. Shortly afterwards, a 45-year-old woman was attacked in Jubilee Street. There have also been two other incidents in the last six weeks or so, in the same area of town.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Sgt Maria Shepherd at Swale police on 01795 477055 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111.
