Sittingbourne got their Ryman League Division 1 South promotion charge back on track with a 3-0 win over Met Police at Bourne Park on Saturday.

Karl Dent and Tom Bradbrook combined to set up Hicham Akhazzan to fire in the opener on 37 minutes.

The second goal arrived shortly before the hour-mark when Dent’s first-time shot rebounded into the net off keeper Mo Maan.

Joe Horlick was deneid the third by Maan before Deren Ibrahim made his first save of note, deflecting the ball onto the bar following Michael Cobden’s 72nd-minute diving header.

Matt Bourne (pictured) produced a goalline clearance as Met Police pressed forward but Elie Kayembe beat the offside trap on 73 minutes and squared to Jimmy Bottle who was brought down in the box, allowing Nick Reeves to crash in the resultant penalty.
