Jim Ward is backing Sittingbourne’s decision to move home.

Brickies are leaving Bourne Park to groundshare at Woodstock Park next season.

And joint-boss Ward has offered his support to chairman Andy Spice who said last week the relocation would save the club.

Ward said: "If that’s the direction the club want to go in, then that’s fine.

"I’m a newcomer to Sittingbourne and if the chairman says that’s what we need to do, I’m 100% behind him and so is Danny (Ward, joint-manager).

"Andy’s not daft. He knows what he’s doing. Me and Danny have done what we said we were going to do this season.

"We know what’s needed next year. Now can the club provide it by moving?

"I know the chairman is just as ambitious as I am."
