A MAN has been arrested over the stabbing of a teenager in a car park.

The 26-year-old from Whitstable was taken into custody on Friday following the serious assault on an 18-year-old man in Albion Road, Broadstairs, at around 11pm on Thursday night.

He has been bailed until June 20 pending further investigation.

According to police, the victim suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries in the attack.

Detectives say the assault appears to have resulted from a verbal dispute that happened in the nearby Dolphin public house and continued outside.

Anyone who can assist police with their investigation is asked to contact Det Sgt Richard Vickery, on 01622 690 690 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
