Thanet man, 79, dies in motorhome crash in Cambridgeshire

A 79-year-old man from Thanet has died after two motorhomes crashed in Cambridgeshire.

The man was driving a white Peugeot motorhome on the A14 near to Newmarket, when it collided with another similar vehicle shortly before 2.40pm yesterday.

Paramedics rushed to the scene but the man was tragically pronounced dead.

A passenger who had been in his vehicle sustained slight injuries.

Two occupants of the other motorhome were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries described as "serious, but not life-threatening".

Police are not currently seeking witnesses to the crash.
