Three men charged after cannabis farm found in abandoned commercial building in School Lane, Ramsgate

Three men have been charged in connection with cannabis cultivation at an abandoned commercial site.

Over 1,000 plants were found inside the disused building in School Lane, Ramsgate after a warrant was carried out on Thursday, June 1 by the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate.

Three men were arrested as part of the investigation and have since been charged with the production of cannabis.

Fabio Maloku and Shkeizen Vata, both 22, and 35-year-old Zylfi Hata, all of School Lane, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 2.

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court at a date to be confirmed.
