Firefighters tackled kitchen blaze in Orchard Close, Tonbridge

Firefighters have tackled a blaze that broke out in a Tonbridge kitchen.

Crews were called to the incident in Orchard Close just before 9am this morning.

On arrival they were faced with the ground floor kitchen of a two-storey property well alight.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

The property was then ventilated to clear the smoke.
