Santa arrived in Tonbridge at the weekend on a stand-up paddle board.

And not just one Santa, but more than 100 of them. Along with The Grinch, a turkey, a Christmas Tree and several dogs

The annual Santa flotilla came to the town for the first time. The event, now in its 10th year, has previously been held at Whitstable, Bournemouth, Canterbury and last year at Cambridge.

Jay Manning is the organiser. Known as 'J-Sup' in the paddle-boarding community, he has been SUPing (stand up paddle boarding) for around 16 years. He said: "Tonbridge was a wonderful venue for us. The water's very safe and hundreds of people came to watch.

"It's just a chance to have a bit of fun and to promote the sport, which is still relatively new."

People came from as far afield as Southampton, Norfolk and London to take part.

The event raised £500 for the charity Stand Up For Cancer.
