Police seize car from nuisance motorist

POLICE officers in Tonbridge have seized a car from a driver who was using his vehicle in an anti-social way in the town centre.

Some three months ago, in Sevenoaks, the driver had been warned under section 59 of the Police Reform Act and advised that further nuisance driving would result in his vehicle being taken from him.

When the driver, a 20 year old from Sevenoaks, was seen driving in an anti-social way in a car park off Sovereign Way, Tonbridge, on Monday evening, officers impounded his car.

Neighbourhood Sgt Justin Watts said: "We will not tolerate motorists who use their cars in an anti-social way. This type of driving is very dangerous and residents should not have to put up with it."
