Teenagers released on bail after attempted moped and bike thefts in Vale Road, Tonbridge

Two teenagers have been released on bail after an attempt was made to steal mopeds and bicycles from a town centre car park.

Police have released an image of a person they’d like to speak to after two teenagers were spotted acting suspiciously in Vale Road, Tonbridge , on Monday.

Following a short foot chase two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were arrested.

A moped had allegedly been taken but was later returned to its owner.

Officers have released the pair on conditional bail pending further investigation.

The force now want to speak to another person in connection with the incident.

PC Oliver Evans, of the Tonbridge Community Safety Unit, has appealed for the public’s help to find this person.

He said: “We regularly patrol locations that have been targeted by criminals and, as part of our ongoing work to tackle vehicle theft, are releasing an image of a person who may be able to assist with our enquiries.

“I am urging anybody who recognises him to contact our appeal line.”
