Police were in attendance and after long delays in the area, traffic is now easing.

Maidstone Road, in Chatham, was also blocked in both directions following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.

Police were called to the scene near St Stephen's Church at 8.51am and no injuries were reported.

There were some delays while engineers reviewed the lights and traffic has now returned to normal.

There are also severe delays on the M25 due to a lorry that broke down earlier on the Dartford Crossing clockwise between Lakeside and Swanscombe.

All lanes have re-opened.

There was a lane closed on the M25 London-bound exit slip road at Junction one on the M25 (Swanley Interchange) due to a broken-down vehicle.
