Bogus charity worker at fireworks display

A WOMAN was arrested after reports of a person posing as a charity collector at a Kent fireworks display.

Official collectors did attend the public display at Dunloran Park, Tunbridge Wells, on Saturday night. They were wearing specially-marked tabards and carrying buckets marked with the charity's details.

Police say they want to hear from anyone who gave money to someone not wearing a tabard or holding a charity bucket.

The 39-year-old woman arrested has been released on bail.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 01732 379317 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
