Dog walkers' row leads to assault

AN ALTERCATION between dog owners led to a woman being struck on her face and nose.

Police are appealing for information following the assault which occurred on The Common, Tunbridge Wells, on Friday, April 27, at about 7.30pm.

Police say the victim, who is in her 40s, was walking her dogs near a cricket pitch when she was approached by two women who had with them a dog which became aggressive towards her dog.

The woman tried to shoo the dog away and as she did so one of the two women hit her on her face and nose.

A 24-year-old woman was later arrested and bailed in connection with the incident.
