Two mugged for cash and mobile phones

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men were forced to hand over cash and their mobile phones to muggers

The attack took place in Tunbridge Wells on Wednesday night as the two men, aged 20 and 21, were walking along Camden Road away from the town centre.

They were stopped by a man they were aware had been following them, together with a second man, who threatened to hit one of them unless he handed over cash.

Having taken money friom his victim’s wallet, the offender and his accomplice walked away, but soon after both reappeared and forced the two victims to hand over their mobile phones.

The offenders were both white, aged between 20 and 25 years. One was 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with brown hair and was wearing blue clothing.

The other was 5ft tall, with ginger hair and was wearing a red top with a stripe on the sleeve and a baseball cap.
