Kent v Surrey

KENT'S new overseas signing Justin Kemp will hope to make his Kent debut having been elevated straight into the squad to face Surrey at Tunbridge Wells.

The South African all-rounder joined up with his new team-mates and has been included in the selection for the 175th Championship match to be staged at The Nevill, which begins on Wednesday.

Kent will be hoping to build on their fine 196-run victory against Nottinghamshire.

This year's four-day opposition featured in a record low-scoring match at the ground back in 1999. That season 30 wickets fell for an aggregate of 514 runs, the lowest ever total for a four-day game in the Royal Spa Town.

Geraint Jones will be absent on England duty, where as Rob Key will be out to score some runs after losing his place in the Test squad to Ian Bell.

Surrey are suffering with injuries at the moment and will be without four players, including Mark Butcher and Ian Salisbury. Key batsman Graham Thorpe is on England Test duty.

Kent from: Fulton, Key, van Jaarsveld, Walker, Stevens, Kemp, Hall, O'Brien, Cook, Patel, Saggers, Khan.
