How Editing the Words of Oliver Cromwell Changed Our View of ‘God's Englishman’

A public lecture by Dr John Morrill of Selwyn College, University of Cambridge. Preceded by a drinks reception at 6.15pm in the Lattergate Garden, accessed via the Mint Yard Gate.
Professor John Morrill is Professor of British and Irish History and Michael Graves Fellow in History at Selwyn College, University of Cambridge. He is this country’s leading expert on Oliver Cromell and has just completed editing a four-volume edition of all his recorded words.

In this evening’s lecture Professor Morrill will draw upon his recent work, taking us into the turbulent world of Oliver Cromwell and providing some very surprising insights into one of Britain’s greatest and most controversial generals.
