Two more stores fall victim to credit crunch

Two more Ashford stores have become victims of the looming recession.

Zavvi, at Ashford Designer Outlet, which sells music, games and DVDs, went into administration on Christmas Eve and children’s clothes sellers Adams, which has a store at Park Mall shopping centre, applied to go into administration, it was revealed yesterday.

The companies are among a series of high profile retailers to fall victim to the credit crunch.

The Ashford, Hythe and Folkestone branches of Woolworths will all be shut by next Monday. The Tenterden branch is already shut.
