Spitfires captain Rob Key spoke frankly and honestly in the moments after Kent's agonising three run defeat to the Middlesex Crusaders in the Twenty20 Final at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night.

Key admitted the better team won, but there were still positives to take out of the day.

Former Kent all rounder Tyron Henderson, who scored 44 from 33 balls and bowled the crucial final ball to Justin Kemp, came in for special praise from the Spitfires skipper.

Key also singled-out the decision making of Middlesex captain Ed Joyce who, "held his nerve superbly" in Key's view, richly deserving the opportunity to pick up some silverware for his side and their vocal supporters.
