Chamber breakfast marks its new dawn

REFLECTING the wishes of local companies is the stated aim of Dover District Chamber of Commerce which, this month, held its first members meeting since its relaunch.

The breakfast event at The Park Inn, Dover, was well attended and included an explanation of the position from the chamber's chief executive Ray Haines.

This follows the turbulent start of the year and subsequent healthy revival after the break from Kent Maritime Chamber of Commerce.

Future plans were discussed and members were invited to contribute their ideas to ensure the body reflects the needs of local businesses.

A spokesman said: "As a totally independent body we have the scope to change the focus of the service we provides to suit members and adapt to their changing needs".
