A Ukip councillor has hit out at the 'mindless idiot' who ripped down a party placard on a Maidstone road.
The incident happened on Friday night on Loose Road.
Candidate for Maidstone and the Weald in the upcoming election, Cllr Eddie Powell, said it was a shame such an incident had happened in a democratic country.
Mr Powell, a councillor for Harrietsham, said: "A mindless idiot has vandalised a Ukip board put up by a supporter in the Loose Road, Maidstone.
"Such a shame, in what is supposed to be a democratic country. The police have been notified."
