Jazz award winner sails into Harbour

Anita Wardell, winner of the prestigious BBC Jazz Award 2006, is set to wow Thanet audiences when she appears in Ramsgate on Tuesday May 13.

Her beautiful renditions have enchanted and entertained audiences for nearly 10 years and she is celebrated for her vocal improvisation.

Combined with this is a vast and extensive knowledge of bebop and standards, making her one of Europe and the United Kingdom’s most viable talents.

She is joined at the Harbour Jazz Club at the Kent International Hotel by Robin Aspland on piano, Paul Booth on sax, Alex Keen on bass and Jimmy Tagford on drums.
