Sitting atop the White Cliffs is Dover Castle, a fortress that has overseen England’s battles since 1066. See the castle’s wartime hospital and Great Tower and, during the half term, there’s also two events - World War II Weekend and Kids Rule - to keep visitors entertained.

Explore one of the country’s biggest maritime attractions in the heart of Medway, with activities such as the ropery, submarine, naval ships, exhibitions and more.

See more than 390 animals, including gorillas, leopards, giant anteaters, rhinos, tigers, wolves and the UK’s largest herd of African elephants, at Howletts Wild Animal Park.
