Kerry Godliman brings Bosh stand up tour to the Brook Theatre in Chatham

Actor, comedian and all-round superstar Kerry Godliman isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves and get stuck into stand-up - despite her rise to streaming stardom.

The TV star, who is bringing her new show, Bosh, to audiences at the Brook Theatre in Chatham this week, is known for her appearances on the likes of Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and Taskmaster.

However, in recent years she has become a familiar face with Netflix fans as she starred alongside Ricky Gervais in his drama-comedy, After Life.

Playing the role of Lisa, Tony's (Gervais) deceased wife, seen in flashbacks and home videos, Kerry became part of the streaming platform’s most-watched show of all time when it surpassed 100 million views in December 2021.

It’s not the first time that the pair have worked together, having both starred in the Channel 4 show Derek, with Kerry playing care home manager Hannah for two series.

The comedian and mum-of-two has also turned her hand to more serious roles, most notably in the Kent-based drama Whitstable Pearl.

The show, which is based on the novels by local author Julie Wassmer, is set in the seaside town of Whitstable and sees Kerry take on the role of a restaurateur who sidelines in solving murder cases in and around Kent.

Now, Kerry is swapping the screen for the stage and returning to the county with a hilarious new stand-up show all about finding a little ‘she time’ in what is described as a “thinly disguised therapy session”.

Kerry Godliman will bring Bosh to the Brook Theatre in Chatham on Friday, October 7. Book tickets here or call 01634 338338.
