Sher-E-Bangla Indian Takeaway in Longfield wins Kent Takeaway of the Year Award at ARTA 2024 for the second year running

Sher-E-Bangla Indian Takeaway in Longfield has picked up the top prize at the recent Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2024 (ARTA) for the second year running.

The popular Indian eatery finished first ahead of three other nominees to win Kent Takeaway of the Year - a feat it also accomplished last year.

The Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards is the most prestigious celebration of Pan Asian cuisine in the UK, honouring Asian restaurants all over the UK.

ARTA 2024 welcomed a guest list of the nation’s most popular Asian restaurateurs alongside MPs and celebrities as they collectively honoured the achievements of the industry.

A statement by the Sher-E-Bangla management team read: “We would like to thank all our customers who have voted and supported us. We would also like to thank our staff, especially our chefs, who have helped us achieve this award.

“We wish and hope to see everyone loving us again in the future. Thank you everyone!”

In attendance at the awards included, among others, celebrities such as actress and singer Patsy Kensit, boxer Julius Francis, singer/songwriter Leila Russack, model Jackie St Clair and NTV Europe CEO Subrina Hussain.

ARTA 2024 was hosted by TV presenter Samantha Simmonds and magician Richard Jones.
