A survivor of the London terrorist bombing on July 7, 2005 has joined forces with other survivors of terror attacks.
Beverli Rhodes, who moved to Kennington earlier this year, was injured in a tube train under Russell Square.
Ms Rhodes, along with other “7/7” survivors, has met with victims of the IRA bombing campaigns of the 1990s, including in Manchester, Brighton, Warrington and Docklands.
Ms Rhodes said: “We have joined together as one strong survivor group which is the first time ever.”
The group will now petition the prime minister to set up a special fund to deal with all survivors of acts of terrorism.
Ms Rhodes said: “We need to look at what is being done not just with the survivors and bereaved from the past, but we also need to set some sort of precedent, process and policy to deal with survivors and the bereaved of terror campaigns of the future.”
