A section of the A20 was due to be closed today as police investigate a crash which killed 19-year-old Dale West.

The A20 Ashford Road was set to be shut for around an hour at Newington from 10am.

It comes after the teenager died when his car smashed into a lorry parked in a layby on the opposite side of the A20 near Folkestone last Monday night.

Kent Police believe he lost control of the silver Peugeot 106 close to Thorn Wood, Sandling, at about 11.10pm.
