A group of six abandoned puppies who were found in a terrible condition after being dumped in a playing field have new, loving homes.
The young pups were believed to be around eight weeks old when they were picked up from Great Chart Playing Field in freezing temperatures.
Taken to Lord Whisky Animal Sanctuary in Stelling Minnis, the Lurcher crosses were underweight, starving hungry and all had skin problems.
But now, Bud, Lollipop, Margo, Ronnie, William and Valentine have all found new homes.
They will also receive on-going treatment from the Lord Whisky veterinary clinic for as long as they need it.
Margaret Todd, Lord Whisky founder, said: “The poor little mites were in a dreadful condition when they arrived here. They were very underweight and starving hungry.
“But what a difference a month makes. The six puppies that had been so neglected and abandoned in near zero temperatures have all now been able to go to new loving homes.
“We would like to thank everyone who has offered them homes and to all the kind people who brought in blankets and food.”
