Ashford Borough Council is aiming to spend around £2 million to buy back up to 15 former council houses.
The authority’s cabinet voted in favour of releasing around £1.6 million, to be supported by a further £346,000 from the government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), at its meeting last Thursday.

“We should take advantage of the current housing market conditions, before they change.”
