A woman has been injured after a car hit a tree.
The accident happened just before 4pm on the A28, Ashford Road, in the St Michael's area of Tenterden, opposite The Little Silver Hotel.
The air ambulance landed in a field belonging to Paul Andrews who said: “When I pulled into my drive after coming back from work I saw a fire engine and ambulance on the road.
“I was putting the kettle on at home when I heard the noise of helicopter blades overhead and saw that the air ambulance had landed in the field next door to my garden.
He added that driving conditions were difficult: “The road is very wet and slippery and full of potholes at the moment and there’s a lot of rainwater run-off from it which has covered my garden.”
The Kent businessman and owner of Fruitworks in Canterbury tweeted: “Blimey air ambo just landed in my garden to attend serious traffic accident A28 St Michaels”
Police closed the road following the accident but it was reopened just after 6pm.
