Police appeal after 700 chickens were stolen from a farm near Aldington

Seven hundred chickens have been stolen from a farm near Aldington.

Police are appealing for people to come forward after the large clutch were reported stolen from a farm in the village on the outskirts of Ashford.

Officers from Kent Police rural crimes team are looking into the theft.

Kent Police were alerted yesterday, and said the theft is thought to have taken place on Thursday September 15 but was only recently noticed by the farm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 101 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting reference ZY/37510/16.
