Two accidents on major roads around Ashford have caused long delays.
An accident involving an HGV carrying rape seed oil is delaying traffic trying to use the Junction 9 intersection roundabout of the M20 at Ashford.
Motorists close to the London-bound entry are facing a jam as police try to deal with the diesel spillage that has resulted.
Ashford fire and rescue service was called at 2.57pm to help resolve the spillage, coming away about 20 minutes later.
There are no reports of anyone hurt.
Meanwhile, the Kent air ambulance was called after a head-on crash between two cars on the A2070 between Brenzett and Ashford at just after 3.30pm.
Kent Air Ambulance flew in because it was thought one victim had suffered head injuries.
But the victim, a man, suffered minor injuries and was taken by land ambulance to The William Harvey Hospital.
Ashford firefighters were also called after it was first feared that victims may be trapped in wreckage but they were found not to be.
